Melo Baca | Assistant Coach

Melo Baca is entering her first year with the Jets as an assistant women's soccer coach in 2023-24. 

Before joining the staff at Newman, Baca played for South High School in Wichita, Kansas before playing at Butler Community College where she was named to the First Team NJCAA-All Conference team twice and First Team NJCAA-All Region team as a sophomore. 

Baca graduated from Butler with an associates degree in Liberal Arts in 2018. Upon graduating from Butler, Melo played for Southwestern Christian University where she earned Second Team All-SAC-NAIA honors in her 2 years with the Rams. 

Melo used her extra year of eligibility due to covid to play under Coach Dylan Gruntzel for Bethel College. 

Baca currently resides in Wichita, Kansas.
